You want to talk about a story of courage? How about a man who laid his job and livelihood on the line to speak truth to his congregation about racism:
Lots of people talk a good game about loving people of all races/ethnicities until their jobs are on the line. Then, they grow silent. Jonathan got louder. Even though the church was small, he was full-time there because they had people who could support him. He doesn’t have a job to go to or the means to support his family, and even though his job was threatened he did not bow the knee.
Read the whole story here. There's no happy ending here yet. This guy still is out of a job, but I hear the Southern Baptist Convention may step in.
